Founded in 1905, Piedmont is a private, not-for-profit organization with over 23,000 employees caring for 2.7 million patients across 800 locations and serving communities that comprise 70% of Georgia’s population. Piedmont provides safe, compassionate, convenient, and high-quality care.
Since the launch of our new intranet, there has been a significant increase in the number of employees who agree or strongly agree that they receive adequate communication about changes happening at Piedmont and the company’s future plans and directions.
Challenges
A cohesive and easy-to-access information hub is paramount for healthcare providers. Difficulties arose for Piedmont, however, due to the poor remote access and lack of team collaboration provided by their legacy intranet.
Piedmont struggled to create a thriving community where employees could connect and collaborate. Lack of governance and content strategy led Piedmont to seek a replacement for their proprietary, decades-old intranet.
